We walk you through carbon versus ceramic, what each one actually blocks, and the legal shade range, then match the film to how you use the vehicle.
Glass gets deep cleaned and decontaminated, then the film is computer cut to your exact windows, so no blade ever goes near your paint or door seals.
The film goes on, gets heat shrunk to the curve of the glass, and squeegeed until the moisture is out. We tell you exactly how long to leave the windows up while it cures.

California is strict up front. The two front windows have to stay light, and the windshield only gets a strip along the top few inches. Behind the driver you can go as dark as you like. We show you the legal range before anything gets cut.
A full car is usually 2 to 4 hours, and two front windows about an hour, so most Escalon customers wait on it. Home and storefront jobs depend on the glass count, so we quote those after a quick look.
That is cheap dyed film failing. Carbon and ceramic film do not do that, and the install is warrantied, so if anything ever lifts or hazes we come sort it out.
Carbon blocks a solid amount of heat for the money and never fades. Ceramic blocks noticeably more heat and glare at the same shade, so the cabin stays cooler without having to go darker.
